What is the purpose of Your Health Your Career?
Your Health Your Career is a digital self-assessment tool designed for current and future members of the West Yorkshire health and care workforce with certain health needs and looking to make a career transition or change. The tool asks questions about your health, and how that health relates to your experiences at work. We then use your answers to direct you to some useful information, signposting, and reflective activities to help you in your career change journey.
Why are you doing this?
The aim of Your Health Your Career is to inform users about how their health concerns might impact their choice of career and give them the tools to start searching for a career best suited to their health.
Do I have to register to use this tool?
No. You do not need to register to use this tool.
You may choose at the end of the self-assessment to provide your email, so that we can provide you a link that helps you return to your results. If you don’t want to share your email, there will also be a randomly generated code you can copy and keep to return to your results later.
Because we do not register you when you use this tool, without copying down your code or providing your email to request a personalised link, you won’t be able to return to your results unless you complete the tool again.
What will happen to my data?
Your data will be held by Leeds Health and Care Academy. We will not share your data with any other organisations.
If you consent for us to do so, we will contact you via email after you complete this tool, with a personalised link you can use to return to your results. We will then remind you of this link and prompt you to return to your results after 2 and 4 weeks.
If you provide additional consent, we may contact you via email to answer some short evaluation questions about your experience using this tool.
If you provide additional consent, we may contact you via email to take part in focus groups or interviews based on your experience using this tool.
Your data will also be used for the following reasons:
- Collating and anonymising data to analyse the tool’s use and impact, including analysing data by demographics.
- Reporting anonymised statistics about use of the tool.
Your data will not be used for any other purpose than the points detailed above.
What happens to the data once the organisations have finished with it?
Leeds Health and Care Academy will hold onto your data for no longer than 7 years, the appropriate period suggested by UK GDPR. Any reports containing your data will also be kept for no longer than 7 years. Once we have finished with your data it will be securely destroyed.
Will information about me be kept confidential?
Your personal information will be kept confidential, and your data will be stored in line with the Data Protection Act 2018; using appropriate security.
Can I remove my data after completing this tool?
Yes, you can contact leedsth-tr.lhca@nhs.net to request the deletion of your data. You may have to provide some information, such as an email, to help us identify your data and remove it.
